Noam Yekutiel Sibony is a third-year student at York University studying Biology, Psychology and Neuroscience. Growing up in a Moroccan-Ashkenazi home, he has always found the marriage between Arab and Jewish culture to be natural, and that has consistently been reflected in his campus involvement. In the Fall of 2019, Noam helped found the organization “Bridging the Gap” at York, a club dedicated to creating a space where Palestinian and Jewish students can connect with one another and share their experiences without fearing rejection due to campus stigma. Noam is also a member of the York University President’s Working Group on Freedom of Expression, has run for President of the York Federation of Students, been an active member in Hillel at York, and co-founded the Moroccan Student Association at York. He studied at Yeshivat Or Haim and William Lyon Mackenzie prior.
