Bridging the Gap
Founding Member
Toronto
Leena Muti is a 3rd-year student pursuing an International Bachelor of Science at York University. Her interest in international affairs began with a fascination for languages, which soon evolved to encompass the curiosity for cross-cultural ties and relationships upon her arrival to campus. Along with advocating for the diversity of opinion on campus, she found her passion in compassionate dialogue and initiated a club, with like-minded individuals, dedicated to fostering an environment where a healthy conversation may be had between contending groups, and erasure of one’s narrative is not necessary upon learning the other’s. Named “Bridging The Gap,” she represents the Palestinian constituency of the founding members.
Leena had been living and attending school in Amman, Jordan prior to her arrival in Canada in 2018.
