Joe Roberts is an organizational leader, development expert, and former political operative with over 15 years of strategic leadership experience. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Jewish London, he previously served as Global Chief Advancement Officer at The Israel Project in Washington, DC & Vice President of Major Gifts at the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles. Roberts began his work in the Jewish community at Combined Jewish Philanthropies, Greater Boston’s Jewish Federation, and the leading Federation in the US. Beginning his career in politics, Roberts has managed electoral campaigns, issue advocacy initiatives, ballot measures, and lobbied members of Congress and the Senate. 
After nearly a decade of political work, Roberts ran for and won the Democratic nomination for the 3rd Congressional District in Ohio in 2010. After his campaign, he went to work on the behalf of the Jewish community and dedicated himself to the success of the Jewish people in the Diaspora and Israel, raising nearly $60 million dollars for Federations. In addition, Roberts was tasked with gaining support for the Birthright Israel program in Los Angeles, taking support from $300,000 to nearly $6 million in one year. In 2015, Roberts was selected as one of 18 leaders in the Federation system to participate in the Jewish Federations of North America’s Fundraising University program for next-gen leaders.
