Dr. Green is the Executive Director of Sephardi Voices, a digital archive that preserves the history and heritage of the Sephardi, Mizrahi, Babylonian and Persian Jews. He received his Ph.D. from St. Andrews University (UK), MA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and BA from Carleton University. Dr. Green is the former Director of Judaic and Sephardic Studies at the University of Miami and the Founding Director of MOSAIC: the Jewish Museum of Florida. He has served as a Skirball Fellow at Oxford University, Israel Fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a University College Fellow at the University of Toronto and a visiting fellow at North West University in South Africa. Dr. Green has published extensively on Sephardic Jewry and has served as a consultant to UNESCO, the Department of Secretary of State in Canada and the Ministry of Senior Citizens in Israel. As the Founding Director of the Jewish Museum of Florida, he created a 12 part oral history series for Miami TV-channel 17 and oversaw the collection of hundreds of interviews. Dr. Green has also given testimony to the USA Congressional Human Rights Caucus, the British Parliament and the Knesset committees on the subject of human rights.
