Annamie is a lawyer, international affairs expert, and social entrepreneur. Born and raised in Toronto, she is a first-generation Canadian with a Master of Public Affairs from Princeton and a law degree from UOttawa. She was also a former Green Party International Affairs Critic. Annamie was the 2019 and is the 2020 Toronto Centre Green Party Candidate in the upcoming federal by-election.
Annamie has worked in international affairs around the world. She founded an NGO innovation hub and a non-profit to help marginalized peoples enter Canadian politics. She is an Action Canada Fellow, Echoing Green Fellow, and alumnus of the Government of Canada Recruitment of Policy Leaders Program.
